Dean Pooley joins Pro Football Agency

We are pleased to announce that Ebbsfleet United defender Dean Pooley has signed with Pro Football Agency for the next two years. Dean rose through the ranks for Millwall, making a First Team appearance for them in the FA Cup. Having been released at the age of 18, Dean struggled at first to find his place in first team football, with spells in Ireland and Northern Ireland proving to be only short term solutions. However, in the summer of 2008 he got the chance to trial for Ebbsfleet and impressed the scouts with his aerial dominance and versatility at the back. They signed him up and he has since gone on to form an integral part of their defence in the Blue Square Premier division.
Dean described himself as delighted to be signing with Pro Football Agency. “I feel like I’ve come a long way since playing for the Millwall Academy and learning my trade in Ireland.” He said. “Ebbsfleet have given me the change to get regular experience at a higher level and hopefully that will stand me in good stead for the future. I know I can improve and that I’ve got a lot to offer, so hopefully the guys at Pro Football Agency can help take my career to the next level.”
Rumours are already circling about Dean possibly making a move overseas in the summer, with destinations as varied as Cyprus, Egypt and even China being mentioned. However, Dean is keen to keep his feet on the ground and is already starting to impress managers of teams in Leagues One and Two in his native UK.
