Cobblers announce Slowe signing

Northampton Town have officially announced the signing of Alistair Slowe today on a one year contract. Slowe has joined the Cobblers from Cypriot club Onisilos Sorita subject to international clearance.
Pro Football Agency.com originally brought you the story back in June and with the transfer window finally open, the club have made their official announcement. Manager Ian Sampson said: “Alistair is a young player with a hunger and desire to make the most of the opportunity we have offered him.
"We are looking to give a chance to young players and we are pleased he will be joining us. He is a right-sided midfielder and a player we can work with to develop.
"He is not the finished article yet, but he has potential and good technical ability. He gives us something in an area where we were looking to add and is a welcome addition.
"Because he has been abroad he has slipped under the radar a little, but we are happy to give him the opportunity and take a bit of a chance with him.
Cobblers fans will no doubt be hoping that Slowe impresses in pre-season training, which starts today, so that he can make an impact when the season starts in August.
